He loves to spin in it, winding himself up in it, until it looks like a Hersey's kiss *laugh* He also likes to swing back and forth in it, his legs hanging out so he can use his tippytoes to run to gain speed. I really recommend doing that, to other families with ASD or SPD kiddos. He sinks into the bean bag and it surrounds him. However, in the end it worked out better for us, as we now have a beanbag in it and it makes it SO much better for him. He promptly bit a hole in the cushion! The cushion is actually of great quality. It was purchased for our autistic son with strong sensory needs. It is extremely sturdy, made from a thick canvas type material. This item runs around $40 on Ikea's website, you have to buy the mounting hardware separately, which is around $10. Ikea's shipping cost runs a little high, but if you are ordering other items it's cheaper in the long run. I expect we’ll have it until the kids go to college!!
